More Caucasian Students Verbally Abuse The Applicant
Discussion: October 24, 2023

72.1 Just like the racist culture at the DSBN. It is clear that some students emulate what they see in their DSBN classrooms and that is a serious lack of acceptance to diversity. Which than translates into a real disconnect to understanding that racialized individuals are equal to their Caucasian counterparts. It results in students thinking – If racialized individuals were so intelligent, they would be here instructing us, but they’re not, why? Because their retarded.

72.2 On October 24, 2023 the applicant refused to go back to his geography class as he no longer wanted to be around a group of students who clearly enjoyed tormenting and making fun of him. All these students who thought that making jester that implied he was slow, intellectually challenged and retarded was more important that thinking about him as an individual who has feelings.

72.3 The parents didn’t try to persuade their son to go back to this horrible environment as it would have been abuse to encourage him to go back to Thorold Secondary School to continue to experience such disregard for one’s self-worth.

72.4 The parents also at this time decided to stop reaching out to the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant for help as the pattern of lack of concern for their son being bullied this time at Thorold Secondary School was evident, AGAIN!

72.5 Ultimately, in the event that the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant did decide they now wanted to genuinely and seriously intervene, it would have to be for some miraculous reason. What might have transpired if they did?

72.6 One can only assume, but what we do know is that when confronted with a verified case of racist behavior by a Caucasian student In a DSBN classroom, and a Caucasian teacher who admits it happened and did nothing to stop it, and now we have two Caucasian teachers admitting to one incident, which means clearly one substitute teacher is lying.

72.7 The DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant “next steps” were to “included Equity Connections as part of our upcoming PD day” and “also be participating in DSBN Equity Cafe Learning sessions.”

72.8 So meaning without any “misinterpretation of thoughts!” They did NOTHING about it!

72.9 The DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant did not;

  • address the Caucasian student for his racist slurs.
  • address the two Black students who were also partaking in the “Chocolate Timbit” incident.
  • address the conduct of Kevin Elzinga properly.
  • address that there was clearly a substitute teacher lying about what transpired in his classroom in regard to racist behavior.
  • to address the parents concerns about their son being bullied in a appropriate timely manner.

72.10 Does anyone really believe that the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant were suddenly going to look into this second and third situation in detail and implement the necessary measures to make sure it doesn’t happen again after the applicant and his parents had to deal with the DSBN and their racist culture for two years? Two days in a row, a teacher was in the classroom while these students engaged in this discriminating behavior without fear against the applicant.

72.11 Darryl Singer, a well-known and respected attorney, admits that racism is a pervasive and systemic issue in many school boards. Mr. Singer stats “boards usually default to three frustrating responses, ‘We didn’t see it, we didn’t hear it,’ or … ‘The student denied it,’ and we talked to the student’s parents: they’re sorry it happened and now by the way, victim please forgive this student.’”

72.12 And this is the closest thing to being the truth! In these kinds of situations, this is typically how the parents of the applicant and the parents of racialized students are treated by the DSBN and other school boards in Ontario.

72.13 So when a classroom of students watches a DSBN teacher like Kevin Elzinga observe racist behavior play out in their classroom and does nothing to stop it. And refuses to confront and stop a racist Caucasian student for their egregious and unacceptable racist actions. Is anyone really of the opinion that these students are not aware of what is happening and their desire to continue playing the same game?

72.14 The applicant has never wanted this kind of attention. And it is evident that his classmates do not feel comfortable with the idea of having him in their classroom. However, it’s a good thing that Janice Sargeant was willing to spend on average 39 seconds during her day, responding to the parent’s emails regarding their concerns about their son being harassed and abused when she decided to finally get around to it later in the evening.

72.15 But unlike PART 61 –The Applicant/Problem Student Was Finally Removed in this material. The parents will not allow the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant to run the applicant out of school again!

72.16 And if the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant are willing to continue to allow this hostile environment to continuing, hoping the parents will again remove their son, and in turn allowing them to put in place the Marcus effect. They’re about to have a surprise.

72.17 The parents have decided that the applicant’s education will no longer be impeded by the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage and Janice Sargeant. The applicant will now be able to report in real time any negative experiences they have had with the DSBN, Warren Hoshizaki, Mary Anne Gage, and Janice Sargeant until they decide to take responsibility for their actions and start holding themselves, the DSBN staff, and the students accountable for their disrespect for the applicant. The applicant will not suffer any additional harm!

72.18 REMEMBER THAT – No Consequences Equals Repeated Behavior!
